Battlestar Galactica season 3

So… after neglecting my poor little blog all week, I’m back with a link only post!  But, it fits in with my last post which was all about tv so that’s okay.  The two season 3 previews for Battlestar Galactica are on You Tube and… I want it to be October now.  Really.

A spoilery type preview

A non-spoilery type preview (basically a lot of character poses over an inspirational speech from Tigh)

I’ll do a real post tomorrow, I think.  I hadn’t been sleeping again all this week, so while I’d kind of wander around online every once in a while, I wasn’t really up to writing anything coherent.  I’m feeling much more awake now, and since I’m going to go see Snakes on a Plane tomorrow, I’m guessing I’ll be in an energetic mood when I get home.  :)

Today at the bookstore this boy came up to me with a video game and asked me if the price was in dollars or pesos….  Dollars, kid  You’re in Canada.  He was cute though.  :)

Entry filed under: television.

Too much tv! Bits and Pieces

I only ever saw an episode of Battlestar at the WBB in the multi section ( the month of Rachel on Sundays….. wasn’t that fun?!!?_
But, one of the guys from Hornblower ( Jamie Bamber ) is in it; and he is cute.

The kid with his pesos is cute.

I have had some obnoxious Americans before ask if they can pay in American.

Said Rachel : “No. You have to pay in Canadian”
    Americans: “Why?!?!” :P
Said Rachel: “Because you are in Canadia”

( yes I actually did say Canadia )

    have a good week duck!

Please don’t confuse the tourists by messing around with our country’s name. :) When I was talking to the kid, though, I had the feeling he thought it was American dollars….. heh.

Jamie Bamber is pretty built. He’s very pretty on BSG, though the lack of his normal accent is a bit of a loss. I think I would have had more fun with your month of Sundays if I had ever gotten to work with you. :( But I hate working Sundays….

Wait wait. I just reread what you wrote. They’re allowed to pay in American dollars, they just get Canadian $$ back. I used to get grief about that when I was a teenager in the Soo. They’d look at their Canadian change with scorn in their faces and say “What am I supposed to do with THIS??” Um, spend it in Canada? Exchange it at the bank? I don’t know…

It took me a while to figure out that there were probably Americans that blended in with the Canadians by not giving me grief about their funnily coloured change, or asking me what “pop” was… What a difference a few miles in geographic location can make!

This has nothing to do with this particular post but I had to put it somewhere. I just finished watching all the xxxHolic episodes you gave me. Some of those were CREEPY! I really didn’t know exactly what to expect, especially after the first episode when Watanuki and Yuuko are just thrown together after he was being chased by a mob of spirits. I thought maybe I played the second episode first by accident. But after watching the later episodes I’m now very aware of the series’ Creep Factor. Dead girl under flowers? 100 Horror Tales? BLUE DRESS GIRL IN ABANDONED ROOM??? WAAAAAH!!!

That was fast! I’m so glad you liked them… but the manga is soooo much better, heh heh heh. Does that mean you want MORE?

And yeah, I thought the walled up room episode was the creepiest and spooked me a little more than the others. Probably because it was an almost original tale. And the girl under the flowers story is one of my favorites from the manga.

    It’s such a good series!

Now I’m debating on whether I should just get the manga! But in the meantime I definitely want more episodes please :)

Okay! You’re on my xxxHolic list… The art in the manga is so good… I don’t want to pressure you into making an expensive decision or anything, but, it’s pretty damn good.

It was one of those arcade game type controllers that plug right into your tv, with games like Ms PacMan, Pole Position, etc etc. He didn’t buy it though. :(

Aw no. :( That sounds kind of cute, I’ve never heard of that. I know they’re redoing ancient games for Gameboy Advance/Nintendo DS, but I didn’t know you could hook them up to your TV.

Ancient?? Okay, now I feel old… They have all sort of types of these plug in games, but I’ve only played the ms pac man one. It also has Galaga in it, which was an old arcade game that’s made a weird comeback.

I didn’t mean to make you feel old! I was… well some of the games I’m talking about are before I was old enough to play video games and such or older… Maybe ancient was the wrong word…

That’s okay, I was just kidding. They are pretty old games. :)
