Vacation bliss

Hope everyone had a happy Christmas and/or at least a few really good days off.  :)

Here I am on vacation, stealing a few minutes of peace while the nephews play Kingdom Hearts in the next room.  I must say, though, if you want to kick your enjoyment of Christmas up a notch, throw an excited four year old into the mix.  Every day he tries to convince us that in one more sleep Santa will be coming again.  Um, no, but nice try kid.  :)  His thing this time is calling everyone “honey.”  It’s very cute.  And slightly less dangerous than his old “Ahhh!  I’m falling off a cliiiiifffff!” thing while jumping off the back of the couch.  I usually fall into second place in popularity when the older nephew comes, but it’s fun to be “Aunty Caffy” again for a while.

Sadly, despite filling my carry on bag with new manga, I’ve only managed to read the new Skip Beat so far.  I DID finish watching the last six or seven episodes of Farscape while wrapping presents and last night I pulled an almost all nighter to watch the Peacekeeper Wars miniseries.  Well worth it, even if I am now escorting the nephews to the movies on half sleep.  heh.  I had originally seen the episodes I just watched as an introduction to the series.  I was confused, but sucked in despite myself and ran out that week to buy season one on dvd.  That part of the story takes on a whole new depth with three and a half seasons of plot and character development behind it.

My mother had been having problems with her computer for the last little while, and up until last night I haven’t been able to check my email (sorry if I owe you a letter) but yesterday she bought a new one so everything is all shiny and new and good to go.  Also, I now have monitor envy.  I’m taking advantage of the new and improved access to write a quick post.

So before I head back into the fray, here’s my “old” new manga – I hadn’t had time to make an update in a while so this list has been hanging around.  I don’t think I’ve posted any of it before, but I guess it’s not that important.  :)

Portrait de Petite Cossette 2 (last volume)

=) Whee! Sounds like a fun Christmas. I got my own copy of Kingdom Hearts just today, and I am thrilled and cannot wait to play it. I also purchased a few other games to play on my shiny new anorexic PS2. How I love it so.

Have fun playing! It’s actually easy enough that I can play without too much effort. I’m going to pass it on to the four year old when I’m done. He really liked playing it.

Have a happy new year, too!

Hmm… well, I guess it’s okay as long as they’re not jagged stumps. If we have the same lady as last time, I can’t see her standing for that sort of thing.
