Here are a list of forthcoming manga/whatever that have come across my radar. It’s not a complete list, just some stuff I’m interested in tracking, and certainly not all of it! Most release dates are from Amazon, some are from publishers. When I have a conflict I will post both dates but not worry over much which one is right as long as I have the month right! Unless it’s Tokyopop. They seem to ship their manga a week or two early. If something is at my comic or book store earlier than the date I have listed I’ll change it to “released” (since that’s where I get my books from as opposed to online, which may come out earlier). I don’t think I want to be any more anal than that. :)

i CAN’T wait untill vol.5 of kamichama karin!
2.
pajcat | June 9, 2006 at
Isn’t it such a cute series? For some reason I didn’t like the first volume as much when I read it the first time, but when I went back and reread it I loved it and it made me laugh a lot. I think it was the “stupid girl” thing which I thought would be taken more seriously in the series than it was.

Does anyone know when Dazzle 3 is out?..cuz i havent got a clue lol
4.
pajcat | August 8, 2006 at
Amazon says…. September 30! But, it’s Tokyopop so it’ll probably be out earlier than that. :)

Jasaturn | August 16, 2006 at
AH! Megami-sama! I’ve got to wait until Oct. For my precious Nana…..*cries* Ah well, I’m glad that now I know, or else I’d have worried myself to death….
6.
pajcat | August 16, 2006 at
Heh. Well, I always know that it’s easier for me if I know how *long* the wait actually is. I got confused last week (due to WordPress stripping some of the formatting out of my list) and was expecting the new Hana Kimi to be at the store… and I was unreasonably disappointed when it wasn’t. It plagued me all week.
I’m like that sometimes.

does anyone know how many volumes of ouran high school host club there are going to be. Cos all i know is dat there are 8 out in japan but its stil not yet finished and I’m totally obsesd with the series. I’m watching the anime right now and its so funny.
8.
pajcat | August 27, 2006 at
I don’t know if they’ve decided yet. I imagine as soon as anyone finds out the series will be ending a great cry of disappointment will spread around the fan sites… I’m hoping it’s not any time soon, either. :)

Do they still have that release dates on the TP site?!?!?! I scanned through the “new” site today and was shocked at it. I liked the old one better.
10.
pajcat | September 2, 2006 at
I was looking at Tokyopop’s site today too, and it actually seems improved. Yes, it used to be worse… I haven’t tried looking for a release date site, though.

You prompted me to go check and remind myself when it was coming out… and it’s tomorrow! I had planned on WAITING until payday to go to the comic store for manga this week, but now I have to go tomorrow. Can’t put off new volumes of Hana-Kimi.
Who needs to eat, right?

Hey Does anyone know when Fushigi Yugi Shojo Beat Manga 4 will come out?
17.
pajcat | November 26, 2006 at
Volume 5 of Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kaidan came out a couple of weeks ago - is that the one you mean? Volume 4 came out back in July. The regular Fushigi Yugi series just finished with the 18th volume.

And I’m enjoying Redrum 327. It kind of feels like the suspense novels I read as a teenager, but with less mystery. :)

Does anyone know why it takes so long for the volumes of absolute boyfriend sooo long to come out? Volume 2 came out in like August, and 3 like just now came out! I hate waiting so long. Most of the other mangas don’t take this long do they?
25.
pajcat | February 4, 2007 at
No, but I think the problem with Absolute Boyfriend is that they’re publishing it first by chapter in Shojo Beat. The other Shojo Beat titles are a bit slow to be released, too. Although they’re not all being published at the same rate…. Crimson Hero has the most volumes, I think.
Huh.
26.
koneko09 | February 4, 2007 at
Speaking of Crimson Hero, has the first volume even come out yet? I’ve been looking for it Barnes and Noble, and I haven’t seen it. Maybe they just don’t sell it there? Which would be odd, b/c they pretty much have all the other Shojo Beat titles there don’t they? But I was pretty sure it had already come out, right?
27.
pajcat | February 4, 2007 at
There’s already been four volumes of Crimson Hero published. #5 is coming out in April. Maybe you can ask them to special order it?
28.
koneko09 | February 5, 2007 at
Oh, ok… THNX! Would u happen to know where u can get the NANA anime? I didn’t even know it was an anime yet! I knew there was a movie, but I don’t where to get that either…Any ideas? Not that this has anything to do with manga…but yeah… Thanx again!!
29.
pajcat | February 5, 2007 at
I usually get my fansubbed anime from Fansub TV. They have a section for Nana. It looks like you should be able to get both the movie and the anime there.
I haven’t watched the Nana anime though I’ve heard it’s good. I’m reading the manga and have the movie sitting around here waiting to be watched someday… :) Looks like there’s already a second one made, too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKR-55szmUY
30.
koneko09 | February 7, 2007 at
Hey, thanx! Thats a really cool vid btw. If youre not gonna watch ur movie…I’ll take it! lol JK And what does ‘fansubbed’ mean? I’ve never heard of that b4…
31.
pajcat | February 8, 2007 at
Fansubbing is when a group of people (fans) take an series/movie and subtitle and distribute it for free. So it’s an unofficial version of the anime. Most fansubbing groups will stop translating a series once it is licensed by a company like Viz or ADV. (Like scanlation groups will stop translating manga series once they’re licensed) It’s a lot easier these days to get fansubbed work - pre-internet they’d be sold on vhs tapes. I still have some old fansubbed Fushigi Yugi and Sailor Stars vhs tapes.
32.
koneko09 | February 8, 2007 at
i didn’t know about that at all…At least, i knew that people had their own versions of manga, but i didn’t know there was a name for that kind of thing. I wasn’t sure if it was even legal lol. Are the mangas pretty good that aren’t translated by official companies? Or are they not totally accurate? Because I know i’ve seen some that come out earlier than the actual professional versions, so that would be pretty convenient, ya know? But if not, i dont wanna invest any time in it. Just curious. Hey, thanx for all this info btw!! latrz!
33.
pajcat | February 9, 2007 at
Welllll…. the legality of it is debatable. I think the main argument is that they’re not selling anything and it’s not owned by anyone in North America. That’s why the good groups stop and pull their work when it’s licensed. The problem with the internet (of course) is not everyone lives in a country where it’s licensed so the translations continue. (I’m assuming that’s who is still fansubbing after the fact, anyway.) That’s why you can still find new fansubs of things like Bleach and Naruto. YouTube used to be pretty bad for having whole episodes of shows and music videos and stuff on, but then Japan complained about the copyright violation and a lot of it got pulled.
Quality… I think the fansubs are pretty good, but of course I started (when I moved to Toronto) watching really really badly subtitled stuff so anything is an improvement. (The dvds of anime they sell in Chinatown are often translated into Chinese and then into English, which does really bad, really creative things to the dialogue.) Manga translations can be a bit iffier, but I also get more of a sense of what it must have been like in the Japanese original - especially since publishers think it’s okay to dumb stuff down for their audiences. :)
The hardest part for me is figuring out what’s good, so I just wait for my friends to tell me what to read. :) Does that help? I got a little babbly there…
34.
koneko09 | February 10, 2007 at
Oh, its ok. Thnx. Well, i’ll probly just end up waiting for the real versions lol. But now i feel all educated haha. I just have to be patient i guess. oh well. So, yeah, well thanx for all the info. ttyl! ^-^

pajcat | March 31, 2007 at
Volume two is coming out June 5 according to the Viz site. I wasn’t sure how much I liked that one, but I’m giving it a chance because of Full Moon. :)
And if it’s a WordPress blog you’re having problems with, try searching the forums. You can pick up some good tips that way and *someone* is bound to have the same problems you’ve been having. I used to puzzle over images, but I’m much better at it now.

when is i.n.v.u. 4 coming out? i have 1,2, and 3 so i want 4. oh yeah does anyone know how many volumes are in skip beat?
54.
pajcat | April 8, 2007 at
According to Amazon, I.n.v.u. volume 4 is coming out on September 5. Wow. That series started ages ago and they’re only on volume 4?
I don’t know if Skip Beat is finished in Japan, but the Anime News Network encyclopedia lists 13 volumes there. (Hmm, actually there aren’t any new releases since June 06, so that sounds like it’s probably finished…)
55.
sarah | April 8, 2007 at
thank you so much ive been dying to get i.n.v.u 4
56.
sam | April 15, 2007 at
how many vols are there in ultra cute..?
57.
pajcat | April 15, 2007 at
Tokyopop has nine listed on their website. Not sure if this means the series ends there or if that’s just as far as they have listed. Sorry!
58.
Brindalyn | May 15, 2007 at
how many volumes of bleach are there that havent been translated? And how many volumes of ultra cute are there left to be translated?

Brindalyn | May 15, 2007 at
Oh nvm about the Ultra cute…

60.
pajcat | May 15, 2007 at
Bleach is still going in Japan and I think volume 27 or 28 just came out there. Or at least that was the latest I saw…

65.
pajcat | June 3, 2007 at
Thanks! I’ll add it to my list. Now that I’m back from vacation I have to update my release dates again…
66.
pajcat | June 4, 2007 at
And I was inspired enough to do it tonight…
67.
Amanda | June 5, 2007 at
Hey, thanks for all the release dates, but R u sure Heaven!! vol.2 is supposed to come out on the 12th of June? ‘Cause I’ve been looking all over online, and everything is all mixed up. TOKYOPOP’s site says that this title next vol. isn’t coming out ’til December. DECEMBER!! But then I read the book again and found out from the preview that the next vol. WAS supposed to come out in June. But I cant find any site selling it or anything. If it’s really comming out in June, I’m all for it. But just tell me where I can get it! Thanx
68.
pajcat | June 5, 2007 at
Hmm… curious. Amazon is listing it as November now. But Chapters is listing it as December and (according to them) volume one as coming out in August. Wow. I’m glad I decided to wait until the series was finished before collecting this one…
Heaven was slated to be a “for sale online exclusive” title at first, but then it got changed. I checked the Tpop forums and one of the moderators said something about it being a Diamond exclusive, but I have no idea what that means in terms of availability. Sorry.
They’re usually pretty good about answering questions in the Tokyopop ask an editor forum. If you wanted to find out directly from the source, I’d ask there.
69.
Aquada | June 6, 2007 at
Do you know the new name of the title for Kamichama karin?
after Vol. 7 it says it continues but it does’nt say the new name!
plz help!
70.
pajcat | June 6, 2007 at
Kamichama Karin Chu. They had an ad for it in the back of the last volume, but it wasn’t on the Tokyopop website last time I checked. Hopefully it comes out soon!
71.
Rebekah | June 15, 2007 at
I can not wait for fruits basket volume 17 to come out, I absolutley love those books. I just get so into them, they truly are amazing. Opinion — email me, beky_hale@hotmail.com
72.
Bahamut | June 22, 2007 at
Amazon lists Bleach 22 as March….2008!!!! WTF! That can’t be right, can it?
73.
mangal0ver | June 23, 2007 at
can any help me i don’t understand why in the series full moon o sagashite vol 6 its in well i think Japanese i tried to order it over my library and its showing up like that
its already out
74.
pajcat | June 23, 2007 at
Wow, that Bleach thing is messed up. When I did my list last month it said December. And volume 20 is still listed as August, but I bought it this week… I *hope* they’re not going to be slowing it down that much!
And for Full Moon… They kept the Japanese title when they published it in English. Have you seen the book in your library? When you get it it’ll probably be in English. You should be able to tell by reading the description in the catalogue - if they bought a Japanese version it’ll most likely say so.
75.
mangal0ver | June 23, 2007 at
Thank You very much. I will see when it comes maybe they couldn’t find a picture of the english version any way you know ultra cute they say it was supposed to come out last week and it now suppose to come out the 30 of july i already tried to order itand thats what they told me
76.
mangal0ver | June 23, 2007 at
ooo and i was ordering it from another library (full moon)
77.
Bahamut | June 23, 2007 at
Wait, you got volume 20 already? The one with Gin on the cover? I only got 19 like 2 weeks ago.
I’m scared that they might be moving Bleach to the magazine, which might explain such a long gap in releases. Hopefully this is completely wrong!
78.
pajcat | June 23, 2007 at
Well, Bleach is up to volume 28 (I think!) in Japan now so that’s at least a year + of available volumes if they keep the current schedule. Hmm. I hope they don’t do what Tokyopop did with Fruits Basket and slow down releases…
Also weird considering they’re putting out 12 volumes of Naruto in 4 months. They’re not worried about THAT one catching up!
79.
mangal0ver | June 25, 2007 at
i loove fruits basket and th release dates are getting longer and longer its very upsetting
its one of my favorites
do you think they are gonna make the next round of kamichama karin
80.
pajcat | June 26, 2007 at
Well, they had an ad for it, so I’m assuming it’ll come out eventually. I was reading Kon Kon Kokon though, and two of the characters from Kamichama Karin are in it. Not Karin, the other two leads… (Their names escape me at the moment.)
81.
mangal0ver | June 26, 2007 at
i am wishing it comes out though because kamichama karin was a very good series, but i was checking a book you said would come out june 13 and i called they changed it to july 30 which is upsetting and fruits basket is being delayed aswell
82.
Juliana | June 28, 2007 at
thankx so much for putting all these dates of wen the manga will come out. Sadly the ones that i’m reading r still new and i need a wait. Oh well, cant wait for the the vols for skip beat, Vampire Knight and Millenium Snow to come out!!!!!!! Thanx again
83.
Juliana | June 28, 2007 at
Does anyone know how many vols r there for Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kaiden?
84.
pajcat | June 28, 2007 at
No problem! I like knowing when things are going to come out, though the publishers don’t always stick to the dates they give. Viz is a mess right now…
There aren’t any more volumes of Millennium Snow! The series went on hiatus so there’s only the two volumes. Which is a shame, because I really like it too. Though if I had to choose between that and Ouran, I’d pick Ouran every time. :)
And according to the encyclopedia at Anime News Network there are 6 volumes of FYGK released in Japan. I don’t know how long the series is going to be though.
85.
KatieD. | July 1, 2007 at
I can’t wait ’till the next Fruits Basket Vol. comes out!
86.
Juliana | July 1, 2007 at
2 pajcat : thankx for the info, it was soooooo helpful. thankx =)
So Millennium Snow is only gonna have two vols and that’s it? But i really enjoyed it. i have vol. 1 and plan to get vol.2 once it’s out and i can get @ borders.
thanx
87.
pajcat | July 2, 2007 at
Well, there may someday be a next volume… probably a looong way away! Clamp is the worst for starting a series and not finishing it, though.
And volume 2 is out! I bought mine a couple of weeks ago. I think the same week I picked up Ouran 9…
88.
Juliana | July 2, 2007 at
okay thankx
89.
spazzturtle801 | July 25, 2007 at
OMG i found out the most awfull thing today!!! I went to go get Fruits Basket 17 today because today is when its supposed to come out, and i found out that the release date got moved back. So it turnes out that the release date for the book got MOVED!!!!! So the new elease date is nowAugust 13 or 14. Just a FYI. T_T
GAH I FEEL SO BETRAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!
90.
pajcat | July 26, 2007 at
Well, that sucks beyond belief!! I was too impatient to wait for the TPop releases and special ordered volumes 18-20 from Australia. Last week I got volume 21 off of eBay and it’s being sent from Singapore. Kind of geeky of me, I know, but I am so sick of waiting!! I’m not sure why Tpop feels the need to screw around with Fruits Basket so much but I got fed up a long time ago… :(
91.
Bahamut | July 27, 2007 at
ARRRGHHH!! It’s official, Bleach is moving to the magazine :( Hopefully it’ll be temporary.
I know this is kind of silly, but if you’re a Bleach fan send emails to Viz and let them know how bad this idea is. Bleach being in the magazine means the volumes will be 4 months apart or more.
http://www.viz.com/about/contact/contact.php Send it to shonen jump
If this pisses you off as much as it pisses me off, please let them know, and tell your fellow Bleach fans to let them know as well.
92.
pajcat | July 27, 2007 at
I read something about that earlier tonight, but it didn’t click that it would be pushing back the volume releases. Damn. I stopped collecting a lot of Tokyopop stuff when they started screwing around with release dates. My impatience to read usually outdoes my loyalty to a company….
93.
spazzturtle801 | August 5, 2007 at
i thought Fruits Basket only went up to 20? Is there a 21? I never would have thought…. but i readthat the last book comes out in, like, 2009 or something like that, which really pisses me off cause thats a long time!!!!!! >……..<
94.
spazzturtle801 | August 5, 2007 at
oh yeah, is volume 9 the last one for Ouran series??? I watched the anime and i started to read the series to. ^^ anway, just wondering!!!! :D
95.
pajcat | August 6, 2007 at
No, Ouran goes past nine, but I think it’s still coming out in Japan which means it takes forever here. I’m still waiting on watching the last few eps of Ouran. I was afraid of spoilers. :)
And Fruits Basket officially ends at volume 23. I have the Japanese edition, and it’s very sweet. (No I can’t read it…) I just got volume 21 off of eBay because it’s being published faster everywhere else in the world than in North America. No waiting for me, bwah ha ha.
ahem.
96.
spazzturtle80 | August 11, 2007 at
lol yeah.
I think Ouran stops at 10. Thats what i saw out at the library, but its not published yet. I want to check to see when it comes out though.
Can you get the Ouran episodes on DVD or something??? I can’t find it and its drinving me insane, cause i really like the episodes.
Do you know where i can get them at all?????
97.
pajcat | August 11, 2007 at
I got mine from Fansub.tv but it’s gone now since it’s been licensed. (!!) I don’t see it listed on Viz yet though. I guess if you don’t want to wait you could get the fansubs from a Bittorrent site?
And volume 11 is being published in Japan right now, but it’s being serialized which is why it takes so long between volumes for us. We’ve pretty much caught up to the volumes released in Japan, but we don’t get to read each chapter as it comes out. Who knows when we’ll get volume 11… :(
98.
spazzturtle80 | August 11, 2007 at
man thatreally sucks. I cant find them on YouTube at all, but yet again YouTube is getting rid of all anime. So i guess its not a huge surpirise….. -_____-
I’ll check it out and see if i can get Ouran from a Bittorrent site though, as long as there are subtitles im happy. ^^
Thanks again!!!!!!
99.
mangal0ver | August 19, 2007 at
yay i got fruits basket 17 i was soooo excited but whats the deal with ultra cute 7 amazon said that it already came out last month but i cant find it at borders
do u know wat happened
100.
pajcat | August 19, 2007 at
Hmm. I’d ask someone at Borders about ordering it for you. I’ve had my volume 7 for a while now. Whoever does their ordering may have accidently skipped that one. (That happens a lot at the bookstore I work at.)
Volume 17 of Furuba was amazing. One of the best ones, I thought. I had originally seen an untranslated copy and did a lot of “wha?” and “omigod!!” while looking at it… :)

pajcat | August 24, 2007 at
Hmm. Recommendations are hard sometimes. I guess it would depend on what you like about Nana. The music, the relationships, the drama…
One of my favourite “grown up” series is Tramps Like Us. Woman finds guy in cardboard box outside her apt and says he can live with her if he agrees to be her pet. He says yes, but not long after she gets a new boyfriend and has to hide the new pet. I’m not describing it well, but it’s funny and romantic and sweet. She’s a smart newspaper woman who’s secretly shy, the pet is a dance student who’s falling for her…. it’s one of my “go without food to buy” manga.
Hana Kimi is my next favourite, after Fruits Basket.
110.
spazzturtle801 | September 2, 2007 at
Ifound out that Fruits Basket 18 is comming out instead in the middle of NOvember… Im calling TokyoPop and yelling at them, i swear… *grumble grumble fume fume* Anyway, the fan book should be comming out on time though, which i found kinda odd.
111.
pajcat | September 2, 2007 at
Tokyopop is just generally annoying. When they’re not screwing around with release dates, they’re only translating 3/4 of a book.
Yes, I’m annoyed by yet another book I bought by them where they didn’t bother translating the sound effects…
I only need volumes 18 and 23 of Fruits Basket then I’m done. I’ll be so happy when I finally have them all!
112.
spazzturtle801 | September 3, 2007 at
lol. I actully don’t mind if the sound affects aren’t translate. Since tFruits Basket was the very first manga i read, it rather bothiers me when they are. Maybe im just twisted that way. ^^
113.
pajcat | September 3, 2007 at
Hmm, it mostly bugs me in horror manga. The manga-ka went through all that trouble to create atmosphere and suspense and you have no idea what’s happening a lot of the time because there’s just someone reacting to an untranslated sound effect! What was the noise!!
*cough*
Pet peeve. They mostly do it to the adult, +teen manga. Viz does it too, with titles like Monster, and Dark Horse claims to be doing the reader a favour by leaving out sound effects in Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service. geez…
My preferred sound effect is the original effect with a wee little translation under it. Del Rey does the best job…
114.
spazzturtle801 | September 4, 2007 at
lol well, if it really bugs you, then you can always translateit yourself and seehow it turns out. ^^ I tried that once, but then i got it into letters and i realized that i still couldn’t understand it because it was still in Japanese… I felt rather stupid… lol
115.
mangal0ver | September 4, 2007 at
i cnt wait tilll fruits basket 18 comes out they left it hangin but 17 was awesome
im savin up money so that i can read diff manga’s
it must be soooo much better to buy manga in japan cause thats where most r made amd they must be cheaper hmmm i wonder to bad their all in japanese
116.
mangal0ver | September 15, 2007 at
is anyone there?
117.
pajcat | September 15, 2007 at
Oof - sorry. I’m in the process of moving right now and I’ve been neglecting my computer lately.
Manga *is* a lot cheaper in Japan. I bought some volumes while I was there and they ran from $4.50-$6.50. Maybe because they had already been published as serials?
Yotsuba&! is good if you wanted to try reading one in the original Japanese. There’s a lot of great body language, so it’s funny even if you can’t understand it.
I have some of the scans here:

Yeah, it’s the sequel to Kamichama Karin. I don’t think I’ve really looked through it that carefully yet, though.
120.

k kool thnx a lot any mangas that u could recomend to me
im all for new
121.
pajcat | September 23, 2007 at
Ooh… I’m not great at recommendations sometimes. Um, some of my favs (other than the obvious, of course) are xxxHolic (lovely and spooky), Strawberry Marshmallow (weird and funny), Hana-Kimi (fun to read love story with yet another cross-dressing girl), Land of the Blindfolded (girl with power to see the future meets boy with power to see the past. very sweet, romantic and touching).
Now I’m off to start packing my manga…
122.
Jamie | October 2, 2007 at
When is the next VVV coming out? (Venus Versus Virus) I LOVE that series. I even heard it was “dubbed” into an anime! :P
Kitchen Princess is pretty awesome, too.
Do you know when the next volume of Gothic Sports comes out?
My dad makes me pay for all my manga myself so I am basically broke… No more Furuba for a couple more weeks… (I only have #’s 1-11. -sigh-)
123.
pajcat | October 4, 2007 at
Hmm, normally I’d check for you, but I’m in the middle of a move right now and only get the internet for about 15 minutes at the library! I usually keep an eye on Amazon for the manga I’m waiting for. Their release dates are a few months in advance, so you can track manga for a few volumes if it comes out often enough.
124.
Juliana | October 12, 2007 at
does anyone knoe how may volumes r there total for Skip Beat and Vampire Knight?
125.
pajcat | October 12, 2007 at
According to the encyclopedia at Anime News Network, there have been 5 volumes of Vampire Knight (as of April) and 15 of Skip Beat (as of February) so far.
I don’t know if they’re finished yet, though.
126.
Maria | November 1, 2007 at
i love la esperanca :]
127.
mangal0ver | November 4, 2007 at
do you know how many volumes of vampire knight there are i have looked everywhere and i cant find anything on it oh and about kamichama karin chu do you think they are going to publish it here or is that going to take a while
128.
pajcat | November 4, 2007 at
According to the Anime News Network encyclopedia, there are five volumes of Vampire Knight in Japan right now. I guess that explains why it takes so long to come out here. :)
I haven’t heard anything about Kamichama Karin Chu being licensed, though. I can’t find anything on the Tokyopop site, but that place is a mess anyway…
129.
spazzturtle801 | November 6, 2007 at
That would make sense if Vampire Knight only had 5 books in the series. Her other series are also pretty short, and MeruPuri was only 5…
And do you know when Ouran High School Host Club will be licensed as an anime here in America? Its really starting to bug me and I wan to get it really badly!!!
130.
mangal0ver | November 6, 2007 at
thats weird because there are places online where you can read up to book 7 with translations so book seven must be out in japan already but thnx anyway
131.
pajcat | November 6, 2007 at
Hmm. The place that I look up stuff like that might not list them until they’ve been collected into graphic novels. Scanlators can grab them as each chapter is published, so they’d be ahead. I guess. The site might just be off by a volume or two. :)
132.
pajcat | November 7, 2007 at
And, hey! According to Fansub TV Ouran is licensed already. No clue when it’ll be out (I rarely find out about these things until the dvds are about a month away from being in the store.)
Should be interesting if Viz is the company that’ll be doing it…
133.
spazzturtle801 | November 7, 2007 at
SERIOUSLY??? Wow…..wait… YAYNES!!!!! Maybe it will be out by the next con so I can get it there…. ^^ Last time I asked they said it wasn’t licensed yet, and someone at school told me it will be out(i think) by the new year….. YAY!!!
134.
Juliana | November 8, 2007 at
really? there’s only 5 vols. of vampire knight. wow dat’s pretty short… thankx 4 letting me knoe

Thanks for your list of upcoming release dates - it’s very helpful. Regarding Saiyuki Reload, does anyone have any further information? Do you know if the series will continue beyond volume 8? I’ve come across all kinds of rumors, everything from a copyright battle to the author being too ill to continue writing - although Wild Adapter seems to be coming out regularly.

pajcat | December 14, 2007 at
I think that series is on hiatus while she works on Ouran, so there’s only the two volumes. (I double checked Wikipedia, and it says that too…)
Actually, Wikipedia says that the series ended at two volumes, but Bisco Hatori mentioned in one of the side bars in Ouran that she was going to go back to it someday.

Hey pajcat, long time no see =] so…all of the anime and manga series’ that i’ve been reading have come up or are coming up to their last volumes….it makes me sad. But this is always the annoying phase where u have to find new ones, but don’t know where to start! So…i’m into like shojo mangas ya know? None of the yaoi or anything like that. So do you have any recommendations? Manga and/or Anime, doesnt really matter =p I’ve been into absolute boyfriend, which is almost done, peach girl (anime), i’m still reading skip beat! and nana…and think thats all…? /^_^ THNX A BUNCH!!
147.
koneko09 | January 3, 2008 at
BTW ur little cat by ur name is soo cute! Choco cat rite?? I got a pillow case with that on it. I luv it =] newayz….lol
148.
pajcat | January 4, 2008 at
Yes, yes that’s Chococat. I’m not sure why I love him so much, but I do. I even got Chococat ornaments for my Christmas tree last year. :)
As for shojo recommendations… I don’t have time to write very much for a day or two, but I have a picture of the bookshelf next to my couch here: http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=2110298962&size=l
Those are my favorite shojo titles right now. I think I might have mentioned some of them to you before. (I think? Somewhere else??)
I also just read the first volume of High School Debut, about a tomboy who gets help from a gorgeous cool boy to give her a remake so she can get a boyfriend. Not sure how long the series is going to go for, but the first one was pretty good.

Did you know? Del Rey is publishing Kamichara Karin Chu among other series…including another series, Papillon, by the artist of Peach Girl… (insert fangirl squealing here) and the manga version of the Count of Monte Cristo: Gankutsuou… I think I need to do some research.

man, I was so surprised when I saw Your and My Secret by Tokyopop!! Now I’ll finally be able to get the second volume. Is there hopes they’ll do this for Sweet & Sensitive the manwha and Jinki: Extend, which are just some of the discontinued ADV books I wasted my money on because it was only 5 dollars x_x;
